vdominated the headlines for departures in recent weeks. Now, they are balancing the scales with replacement signings stacking up.

Pirates are believed to be close to wrapping up their latest transfer target.

So, the Bucs could secure their FIFTH signing. Thus, replacing five of their six departures so far, in terms of numbers at least. Meanwhile, they are set to announce these four signings soon.
Pirates will trigger the clause in SuperSport loanee, Thalente Mbatha’s contract. Therefore, making him a fully contracted Bucs player. Meaning, he will technically become there first signing. Additionally, promising Englishman Tremaine Eastmond is training with the Bucs, Essentially, the former Burnley FC youngster will be signed if he impresses during their European tour.

In fact, as things stand he is expected to make his unofficial debut against Sevilla during Pirates pre-season tour of Europe. Meanwhile, surprising reports claim that Kaizer Chiefs target and SuperSport United defender, Keagan Johannes, has already signed for Pirates.

“Keagan Johannes is said to have already put pen to paper,” the report read on SNL.

Finally, the Bucs have also signed a youth academy product from SuperSport

“Orlando Pirates have swooped in on midfielder Selaelo Rasebotja, who joins the Soweto giants on a free transfer,” SABCSport confirmed

Ultimately, Pirates will still have several player movements (departures and signings) announced in coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs are yet to announce any movements. However, they are expected to have the most change with a new coach, technical team and players and several departures likely.
