The USA Rugby League (USARL) and the Sydney Roosters have formed a strategic partnership whereby the USARL will serve as the Sydney Roosters’ game development partner for at least the next three years.
The Roosters’ dedication to developing talent internationally and expanding rugby league is demonstrated by this historic partnership.
The partnership will concentrate on a variety of projects meant to further rugby league’s growth in the US. Important components of the alliance consist of:
Roosters West Coast Rugby League Academy: The naming rights sponsorship for the Roosters West Coast Rugby League Academy was given to the Sydney Roosters. With a base on the West Coast, the Academy’s mission is to find and nurture gifted young rugby league players and to offer top-notch coaching and training programs to young men and women throughout the United States. Throughout the year, camps will be held multiple times, with Roosters coaching staff attending to assist the local Academy staff.
Sponsorship of the USA National Elite Youth Team: The Sydney Roosters will serve as the primary sponsor of the representative squad representing the United States of America at the European Championships in Serbia this July. The team’s jerseys will bear the Roosters West Coast Academy logo on the front.
Sydney Roosters will serve as the men’s and women’s USA National Hawks teams’ back-of-shorts partner owing to their sponsorship relationship. The national team shorts and referee shirts will both have the Roosters logo as the official referees sponsor for the USARL domestic competition. The Roosters logo will be on every football used for practice and games in all domestic competitions during the second year of the partnership.
Club Development Fund: To support the expansion of rugby league awareness and participation in their respective regions, clubs from the four conferences—the Pacific Coast Rugby League (PCRL), Utah, Rugby League United, and Florida Rugby League—will be able to apply for annual funding through the Club Development Fund.
