The Lady Vols (41-10) are hosting the NCAA regionals in Knoxville as the No. 3 national seed, the highest seeding in program history. Tennessee will face on Virginia (33-18) on Saturday (1 p.m. ET, ESPN2) and the winner will move on to the regional final Sunday.

The Lady Vols beat Dayton (33-20) on Friday 3-0 at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. The Flyers will face Miami (Ohio) (48-8) in an elimination game at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Lady Vols havethe potential for a second straight run to the Women’s College World Series after winning back-to-back SEC regular-season championships. Tennessee coach  Karen Weekly  was named the SEC Coach of the Year for the second straight season and sophomore pitcher Karlyn Pickens won SEC Pitcher of the Year, joining Monica Abbott as the only Lady Vols to win the award.
