It’s simple to overlook the fact that a number of the Kentucky Wildcats’ incoming players are also exploring the NBA Draft possibilities given the team’s recent roster frenzy.

Amari Williams, a center for Drexel, Andrew Car, a forward for Wake Forest, Lamont Butler, a guard for San Diego State, and Koby Brea, a guard for Dayton, all entered the draft earlier in order to get feedback and to play in college the following season.

The NBA recently released the invite list for the Draft Combine, and none of those four were included. Jaxon Robinson of BYU was invited, though, so he’ll have an opportunity to raise his draft position and possibly stay in the draft. It is predicted that he will leave around the end of Round 2.

Reed Sheppard, Rob Dillingham, Antonio Reeves, and Justin Edwards—all former Kentucky players—were also invited to the draft.

The 2024 NBA Draft Combine, which will be held in Chicago from May 12–19 at Wintrust Arena and the Marriott Marquis, has extended invitations to 78 players, the NBA announced today.

According to the tweet, some of those guys who were not invited to the combine might still be able to attend if they receive an invitation to the NBA G-League Elite Camp and place highly among the participants.
