Inter Miami CF have reportedly made a dramatic change in the dugout, with Guillermo Hoyos being announced as the club’s new head coach following the reported departure of Cristian “Kily” González.
Hoyos is no stranger to the Inter Miami setup. He previously took charge of the first team after Javier Mascherano departed, initially serving in an interim capacity before being appointed permanently. Inter Miami later reached an agreement with González to replace Hoyos in August 2026.
González subsequently arrived in South Florida, completed his work documentation and officially assumed responsibility as first-team head coach, signing a contract that runs through June 2028.
A return for Hoyos would therefore represent another major turn in Inter Miami’s coaching story. The Argentine coach already knows the club, its squad and its internal structure, having previously combined his sporting-director responsibilities with first-team duties. Inter Miami’s official announcement at the time described Hoyos as an experienced coach with managerial experience across Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Bolivia, Greece and Cyprus.
