WREXHAM AFC CAPTAIN DOMINIC HYAM is at the centre of a heartwarming story after supposedly opening up about the first time he met Maria Glinellis.
In the imagined confession, Hyam recalls that football was the only thing occupying his mind when their paths first crossed.
“When I first met Maria Glinellis, I’ll admit she wasn’t what I expected. My mind was fully on footy and I wasn’t looking for anything else.”
But according to the fictional account, Maria quickly stood out from everyone else.
“She was different. She had this spark about her. She was confident, full of energy, and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind.”
What began unexpectedly supposedly developed into something much more meaningful as he got to know her.
“At the time, I wasn’t sure how things would go, but the more I got to know her, the more I realized how special she is.”
