Celtic supporters would be left stunned by reports suggesting that the club could be preparing to part ways with captain and long-time midfielder Callum McGregor.
McGregor has become one of the most recognisable figures at Celtic Park, having spent the majority of his career with the club and played a major role in numerous domestic successes. His leadership, experience and commitment have made him a favourite among supporters.
The prospect of seeing the Celtic captain leave would naturally create a huge reaction among the fanbase. Many supporters would question why the club would consider allowing such an important figure to move on, particularly given his influence both on and off the pitch.
A potential departure would also represent the end of a remarkable chapter for McGregor, whose connection with Celtic has made him much more than just another player.
For now, supporters will be watching closely for any official confirmation from Celtic regarding McGregor’s future. Until the club makes an announcement, fans should treat claims of a sale as unconfirmed rather than established fact.
