Aston Villa supporters are facing a dramatic moment as questions continue to surround head coach Unai Emery following a turbulent summer at Villa Park.
Despite sensational claims circulating that Emery has been “fired indefinitely,” there is currently no credible confirmation that Aston Villa have dismissed him. Recent reports continue to identify Emery as Villa’s head coach ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.
The speculation comes after an extraordinary period of change at the club. Villa have seen several important players leave, including Morgan Rogers, Youri Tielemans and Ezri Konsa, while Ollie Watkins’ future has also become uncertain. Emery has acknowledged the scale of the transition but has remained publicly positive about the club’s direction.
Villa also suffered a 2–1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup, adding further pressure ahead of the opening Premier League fixture. Nevertheless, Emery remains in charge and is preparing his squad for the new campaign.
