Jaissle was only appointed Newcastle’s new head coach on 5 August 2026, replacing Eddie Howe. The Premier League itself confirmed his appointment as part of the league’s 2026/27 managerial line-up.
In fact, as recently as 21 August, reports stated that Jaissle was preparing to take charge of Newcastle in his first Premier League match against Liverpool. He has also publicly spoken about rebuilding the squad and remaining positive despite a turbulent summer that saw several important players leave the club.
The German coach faces a difficult challenge, with Newcastle undergoing major changes and introducing several younger players. Nevertheless, there is currently no credible confirmation that the club has dismissed him.
