Newcastle United fans could be forgiven for feeling a wave of nostalgia and excitement at the prospect of seeing one of their most beloved former players back at St James’ Park.

In a development that has sparked huge excitement across the Newcastle community, reports circulating online claim that former Magpies winger Allan Saint-Maximin could be set for a return to the club — this time in a role away from the pitch.

The suggestion is that the Frenchman could return to the Newcastle United organisation as part of the club’s senior setup under new head coach Matthias Jaissle.

It would be a remarkable next chapter for a player who became one of the most recognisable and entertaining figures of the modern Newcastle era.

Saint-Maximin arrived at Newcastle in 2019 from Nice and quickly became a fan favourite. His explosive pace, fearless dribbling and unpredictable style made him a constant threat and a source of excitement for supporters at St James’ Park. Newcastle’s official records show that he made 124 appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing 21 assists during his four-year spell.
