DEALS ACCEPTED
Nottingham Forest captain Ryan Yates has reportedly been linked with a sensational move to Aston Villa, with claims that the midfielder has agreed to a five-year contract worth a huge fee.
The reported development would represent a major change for Yates, who has become an important figure at Nottingham Forest after progressing through the club’s academy. He has been associated with Forest since 2005 and has gone on to make more than 200 league appearances for the club.
Yates has also established himself as a leader in the Forest dressing room. The midfielder has regularly worn the captain’s armband
A move to Aston Villa would therefore be a significant story. Villa and Forest have already shared memorable meetings, including their European encounters during the 2025/26 campaign.
However, there is currently no reliable confirmation that Yates has signed a five-year contract with Aston Villa. Available player information continues to list him as a Nottingham Forest midfielder, while reports indicate that his existing Forest contract runs until 2028.
If such a transfer were eventually completed, Yates’ leadership, physical presence and experience could make him an interesting addition to Villa’s midfield. A five-year agreement would also represent a major long-term commitment from the club.
For now, though, supporters should treat the “DEALS ACCEPTED” claim as a rumour rather than confirmed transfer news until Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa or another authoritative source announces the move.
The football world will be watching closely to see whether this reported blockbuster transfer develops into a genuine deal or remains speculation.
