A social-media rumour involving Celtic defender Alistair Johnston and his wife, Peyton Pesavento, has begun circulating online, sparking reactions among football supporters.

However, there is currently no credible evidence or reliable news report confirming the allegation, and neither Johnston nor Pesavento has been reported by reputable sources as making such a statement.
