In one of the biggest transfer stories of the summer, Aston Villa goalkeeper Marco Bizot has officially completed a permanent move to Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven, signing a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2029.
The experienced shot-stopper was unveiled by PSV on Tuesday afternoon after successfully completing his medical examinations and agreeing personal terms. The move marks a fresh chapter in Bizot’s career as he returns to Dutch football with the ambition of competing for domestic trophies and European success.
Speaking during his official unveiling, Bizot expressed his excitement about the opportunity.
“I’m delighted to join PSV. This is a fantastic club with incredible supporters and a rich history. I want to give everything I have to help the team achieve its goals over the next three years.”
Although his time at Aston Villa was relatively brief, Bizot earned the respect of teammates, coaches, and supporters through his professionalism, work ethic, and commitment on and off the pitch. While opportunities in the first team were limited, he remained a reliable figure in the squad and was always prepared whenever called upon.
Aston Villa released an official statement thanking the goalkeeper for his contribution to the club and wishing him success in the next stage of his career.
“Everyone at Aston Villa would like to thank Marco for his professionalism and dedication during his time with the club. We wish him and his family all the very best for the future.”
Head coach Unai Emery also paid tribute to the departing goalkeeper, praising his attitude and influence within the dressing room.
“Marco has been an excellent professional from the first day he arrived. He worked hard every day, supported his teammates, and always maintained a positive mentality. We thank him for everything and wish him every success at PSV.”
Fans reacted quickly to the announcement across social media, with many expressing gratitude for Bizot’s commitment while welcoming the opportunity for him to play regular first-team football.
PSV officials believe the signing will strengthen their goalkeeping department ahead of a demanding season that includes domestic competition and European football. Club executives described Bizot as an experienced goalkeeper whose leadership and composure will be valuable assets both on and off the pitch.
With the transfer now complete, Marco Bizot is expected to join his new teammates immediately for pre-season preparations as he begins an exciting new chapter in his career.
