FAYETTEVILLE: The Arkansas women’s basketball team has seen a lot of action since the women’s basketball transfer portal debuted on March 18.

Born and raised in Batesville, Higginbottom started her career at Missouri and has played her last two seasons at Arkansas State. She finished eighth in Division I as a junior in 2023–2024 with 22.2 points per game. In terms of scoring, assists (95), field goal percentage (46.2%), three-point percentage (36.7%), and free throw percentage (91.1%), Higginbottom topped Arkansas State. Her assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.73 placed her at No. 101 in the country.

The second transfer added by the Razorbacks was Vera Ojenuwa, a 6-4 forward from Lagos, Nigeria who attended Barton (Kan.) Community College.

In her rookie season of 2023–2024, she started 27 of 30 games. Ojenuwa averaged 13.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and made 2 of 4 three-pointers in addition to shooting 47.8% from the field and 75.5% from the free-throw line per game.

It is stated that Dauda entered the gateway as the fourth starter from the team from the previous season. One day after Samara Spencer, on April 25, she entered the portal.

Bentonville native Dauda, a 6-4 consensus five-star forward in the class of 2021, had an incredible season as a redshirt sophomore. She shot 45.5% from the field, averaged 10.1 points and 6.3 rebounds, and started all 33 games.

With 10 blocked shots in a 77-59 victory against Alabama, Dauda set a record for Arkansas. She recorded ten games with at least three blocked shots and three double-doubles.
