What a fantastic job this greenĀ  team is doing performing its duties.

Beyond the expectations of cricket enthusiasts, they defeated the formidable Australians in the second Test match at Brisbane on January 27 by playing with incredible confidence and self-belief.

Kudos to captain Kraigg Brathwaite and his outstanding team for winning the Test match and tying the series against the Test cricket world champions of 2023.

Australia’s captain, the overconfident Pat Cummins, declared his team’s first innings to be 22 runs lower than the WI’s total in an attempt to grab some vital wickets before play ended. WI scored 193 runs after he only managed to get one. allowing his team to win the second Test and complete a sweep of the two Test series by scoring an impressive 216 runs.

In his first Test series and only his second Test, the player-of-the-match and player-of-the-series fast bowler Shamar Joseph made his own demands and called out the Australian batsmen, rattling them for the incredible figures of seven wickets for 68 runs, a bowling spell that was simply amazing. On the pitch, the exuberant 24-year-old never concealed his happiness at the gains he made as he sliced through Australia’s formidable batting lineup.

The WI cricketers raised their game to match the much better cricket pitch than it had been in the first Test match. The second Test’s pitch at Gabba had a thick layer of grass covering it and was firm. When the ball struck the bat, this allowed for a genuine, steady bounce, which
