With the 62nd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected OT rten out of the Washington Huskies, a significant addition to their offensive line. To everyone’s amazement, the Ravens finally selected their targeted prospect in the second round, despite rumors that they might target a tackle in the first round. The Ravens clearly needed tackle help when RT Morgan Moses left earlier in the offseason, and Rosengarten seemed to be the best candidate to step in.

Rosengarten also views becoming a member of the Ravens as a dream come true. He showed his delight by saying, “As soon as I heard Baltimore, that’s the first thing that came to mind – blocking for Lamar, an elite-level quarterback, and an MVP-level quarterback,” to ESPN’s Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley. It truly is a dream realized.

In fact, by selecting Rosengarten, the Ravens also demonstrated that protecting Lamar Jackson is their primary concern. Their early draft choice of a tackle to address this issue was indicative of this. Rosengarten’s acquisition bolsters their efforts even if there are still questions along the offensive line.

Rosengarten is a strong prospect in his own right, while being slightly overshadowed by teammate Troy Fautanu, who was taken by the opposing Steelers at No. 20 overall. Though Rosengarten shares a left tackle position with Fautanu, he has a strong resume. He played in one of college football’s most pass-heavy offenses, so it’s noteworthy that he did not allow a single sack during his whole career.

The 6-foot-5, 308-pound lineman for Washington has made 28 starts in the last two seasons, showcasing his size and quickness. He even recorded a noteworthy 40-yard sprint time of 4.92 when being evaluated for the draft. Rosengarten is well-known for his athleticism. He has excellent footwork and is skilled at moving upfield during running plays.
