On Saturday, Leeds United, in third place, will host Ipswich Town, in second place, at Elland Road in an interesting EFL Championship match.

After losing 1-0 to Sunderland in their midweek match, the hosts had lost their last two league games. On Saturday, they were beaten to a 1-1 draw by Coventry City. With 42 points, they are tied for third position in the league table with Southampton, who is ranked fourth.

The visitors, who had not lost in their previous five league games, suffered their first point loss in five games last week when they were defeated to a 2-2 draw by Norwich City. Jonathan Rowe’s brace had given Norwich the lead, but Nathan Broadhead tied the score in the first half and Wes Burns added an equaliser in the sixtyth.

They now have a 10-point advantage over the hosts despite trailing league leaders Leicester City by three points after the draw.

Since 1954, the two teams have faced off 84 times total across all competitions. These have been closely contested games, with 21 ending in draws and the hosts holding a slim 34-29 advantage in wins.Leeds won 4-3 on the road in their rematch in March after a thrilling seven-goal contest. The last four league games have seen the visitors score two goals each. Ipswich Town vs. Leeds United Prediction
This season, the Whites have gone undefeated at home, scoring 22 of their 37 goals in 11 home games. They will be hoping for a successful result because they have only lost three times at home against the visitors in the twenty-first century.

Daniel Farke, the head coach, has kept Jamie Shackleton, Stuart Dallas, Djed Spence, and Sam Byram out of action. The fact that Junior Firpo and Ian Poveda are once again eligible to start is encouraging.

The Tractor Boys are coming into the game riding a five-game winning streak during which they have scored 11 goals and given up six. Following a November streak of defeat in their away games, they have won in.

Leeds has the home-court advantage, so a loss looks unlikely. The visitors are in strong form going into the game and have only lost once on the road this season.

In light of that and the two teams’ present performance, a high-scoring draw might occur.

Leeds United 2-2 Ipswich Town is the prediction.
