Even though the Cincinnati Bengals made a number of noteworthy offseason acquisitions, several issues remain. The Bengals are reportedly hosting a number of the best offensive and defensive line prospects on top 30 visits as they continue to get ready for the 2024 NFL Draft.
The tight end position is one prominent area of worry in Cincinnati, since the Bengals haven’t added any big stars to their roster this offseason. The tight end class this year isn’t the best, despite the expectation among many that Cincinnati will address the position early in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Jay Morrison of Pro Football Network’s Bengals Insider gave an excellent analysis on Cincinnati’s ongoing disregard for the tight end position. Morrison notes that since 2019, the Bengals have been the only team without drafting a tight end in the draft. Cincinnati may ultimately choose to invest in a prominent tight end in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Trent Brown was only signed for a single season, even though the Bengals needed a right tackle to cover their void. Cincinnati must so monitor developments along their offensive line and maybe choose Brown’s replacement in the first round. In his most recent mock draft, Brian Blewis of Pro Football Network projects the Bengals will select one of the best offensive tackles with the 18th overall choice.
