The Seattle Seahawks, who currently own a highly sought-after pick in the middle of the first round, should be in a great position to acquire a second round pick and still select a first-round talent

With just three weeks until they will be on the clock with the 16th selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks should have most of the hay in the barn as pro days and top-30 visits come to an end around the nation.

While it’s still too early to predict what will happen in Detroit on April 25 during the first round of the playoffs, a number of last year’s postseason teams, including the Bills, who dealt Stefon Diggs to the Texans on Wednesday, have significant deficiencies at tackle and/or receiver. General manager John Schneider must be licking his lips, considering the potential king’s ransom Seattle could land from one of those teams looking to move up into the middle of the round, with Buffalo, Kansas City, and other teams needing to fill holes at critical positions of need late in the round.

As the draft draws near, what kind of prospects might Schneider have if he drops to the bottom of the first round? According to my most recent seven-round projection, the Seahawks take a different approach to address concerns with their interior offensive line while executing a significant trade down with the now receiver-need Bills to recover a second and fourth-round pick.
