Mason Rudolph Talks About The Steelers’ Important TD Pass Against The Ravens
Steelers’ Mason Rudolph sets a new passing record.
The quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers made history.
Pittsburgh — The Pittsburgh Steelers’ season has taken a turn for the better thanks in large part to Mason Rudolph, and as the regular season comes to a close, the team is once again competitive for a playoffs berth.
Rudolph has had more success passing the ball through the air in just three games than any other quarterback in the previous two seasons. And he created Steelers history in his performance against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18.
Rudolph completed 18 of 20 throws for 152 yards and a touchdown as he wrapped up his effort in Week 18. He broke the franchise record for the highest completion percentage in a game with at least 15 throws with 90% of his passes completed.
Mike Tomczak (88.2%) established the previous record for the Steelers back in 1998.
The Steelers, led by Rudolph, will be watching two games on the last day of the regular season intently to determine if they qualify for the postseason. It’s unclear at this time if Rudolph will start for Pittsburgh, but it seems unlikely that the Steelers would switch quarterbacks given that he has recorded the best passer ratings of the season in three straight games.
