Baltimore – The fans are ecstatic about the new power back the Baltimore Ravens have.
Four-time NFL Pro Bowl player Derrick Henry has reportedly consented to sign a $18 million, two-year contract to play in Baltimore.
This comes after the Ravens faced backlash for giving up on the run game during their AFC Championship Game loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Over the last six seasons, Henry—also known as King Henry—has amassed more than 1,000 running yards in five of them. He is currently paired with Lamar Jackson, the MVP of the Ravens, to form a potent tandem.
Anthony Meek, a Ravens supporter, stated, “I think he’s just the perfect fit.”
Just two months after suffering a devastating defeat just one game short of the Super Bowl, Ravens supporters are once more filled with hope.
“I’m a huge Ravens fan, so I got some alerts on my phone saying that we actually got him signed, so I am super excited about that,” Max Aggrey, a Ravens supporter, said.
“His attitude, the way he runs the ball, he’s going to fit perfectly with Lamar,” Meek stated.
The signing quickly became viral on social media.
“Flock Nation, I swea it’s up!” tweeted Henry.
Gov. Wes Moore of Maryland continued, “It’s way up!”
Marlon Humphrey, a cornerback for the Ravens, tweeted that he was messaging Henry on Monday but hadn’t been informed of the signing plans. Humphrey seemed startled by the arrangement.
