The Boston Celtics have secured the summit of the Eastern Conference

The NBA franchise Boston Celtics have prematurely ensured their top position in the Eastern Conference.

Last night, on Tuesday, March 26th, Boston contested an away fixture against Atlanta, suffering a defeat with a scoreline of 118:120. Nevertheless, despite this outcome, the Celtics have nonetheless secured the summit in the Eastern Conference standings. With 11 matches remaining in the regular season, they boast a record of 57 victories and 14 defeats. The closest pursuer to Boston, Milwaukee, occupies the second spot with a record of 46-25.

This marks the Celtics’ third time achieving such a feat since 1988 (in 2008 and 2017). Between 1980 and 1988, Boston claimed the top spot in the conference eight times in nine seasons.

It is worth recalling that the Lakers recently set a team record for scoring this season and engaged in the most high-scoring NBA match in 37 years. They emerged victorious against Indiana with a scoreline of 150:145.

It is worth noting that the NBA team Milwaukee Bucks clashed with the Phoenix Suns in a regular season match and secured victory with a score of 140 to 129. According to the association itself, in the first half of the game, the Bucks converted 18 out of 27 three-point attempts, thereby matching an NBA record in this regard.
