Boston’s four-game homestand will conclude on Monday night when the Bruins welcome the St. Louis Blues to TD Garden. Boston will be looking for its fourth win in five games and its third win in a row after what was possibly its poorest showing of the season two Saturdays ago on Long Island.

We’ve been playing really well, I believe. Charlie McAvoy, the alternate captain for the Boston Bruins, said, “We’ve got results in three of the four games. That seems to be the kind of music we want to play. In order to gain points and strive for consistency, we want to try to build in a regulated manner.

It’s gone well. Seeing our game this past little while has been good. I’m hoping we can continue it tonight.”

Recently, Jake DeBrusk has been the focus of trade speculations on the internet. On Monday morning, he said he was happy that the deadline had passed and he was still in Boston. The winger is now excited to concentrate on the final stretch and the Bruins’ postseason aspirations.

“It was definitely a sense of relief, as I’m still here,” stated DeBrusk, who has six points in his last four games (two goals and four assists). “Grateful to be here and eager to proceed…Here’s to a playoff push:I believe that at the start of the year, I have experienced uncertainty in the past in various forms. I was somewhat ready for this, but you never know until you kind of experience it.

“I firmly believed that this year would vary in a few respects…To be honest, it’s inhumane to ignore things [rumors and complaints], but there’s a lot of supportive people here. Having guys on this squad who I can rely on, guys that were on this team that I can reach out to, and all of that is important to me.

Like goalie Linus Ullmark over the weekend, DeBrusk also mentioned that Patrice Bergeron, a former captain of the Boston Bruins, was one of the people who reached out and offered his support.
