Nate Wiggins of Clemson Gets Hurt While Doing the Fastest 40-Yard Dash at the 2024 NFL Combine

Nate Wiggins, a cornerback for Clemson, is projected to be selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft, and his showing at the NFL combine should have bolstered his candidacy. Unfortunately, Wiggins’ combine was cut short after he hurt himself during Friday’s 40-yard dash.

Wiggins set a record for the fastest time among players to date in the 40-yard sprint with an official timing of 4.28. Nevertheless, Wiggins headed to the training room for more assessment after feeling a “pop” in his groin, according to the NFL Network broadcast.

According to Wiggins, the issue is a hip flexor, therefore he is out of the running for events at the combine but should be good to go for Clemson’s Pro Day, according to NFL Network’s Stacey Dales.

Wiggins played in 27 games throughout his three seasons at Clemson, including 23 in the previous two seasons. As a primary starter since the 2022 season, he has tallied 58 tackles and three interceptions.

SO SAD: clemsom tigers manager Dabo Swinney is very angry and disappointed about…

Given that many draft experts rank the 20-year-old as one of the top 30 players in this year’s class, he is regarded as a top potential.
