It was only a few weeks ago that many predicted the 49ers would win every game.

They have now dropped their last two games against clubs that were in the losing league when the 49ers played them. It’s a trend and it’s embarrassing.

Some 49ers players seemed to take a positive attitude after the team’s defeat over the Browns last week. It was nearly a decent defeat, according to Talanoa Hufanga. According to Kyle Juszczyk, the 49ers needed a loss to get back on track because they had grown too accustomed to winning.

Yes. The Vikings then defeated them.

A terrible defeat.

In September, the 49ers were undoubtedly better than the rest of the league, despite their seeming superiority. However, the 49ers seem to have peaked early in the season, and it’s still early. They are now losing against weak opponents and treating them carelessly.

The 49ers must quickly humble themselves. They believe they are a fantastic team that just needs a wake-up call to perform at its peak. Nevertheless, that is untrue. The 49ers are not a great team, or at least not as terrific as they believe they are, as the last two weeks have shown. Since they defeated Dallas, not a single aspect of them has been outstanding: not the quarterback, Brock Purdy, the running game, the defense, or the kicker. Not Steve Wilks, the defensive coordinator. and not Kyle Shanahan, the head coach. Everyone is depressed.

You now wonder who else can defeat the 49ers after seeing their schedule. Cincinnati? Seattle? Baltimore? Jacksonville. Philadelphia? Any of them could defeat the 49ers.

The season has now gotten much more intriguing.
