Soon enough, spring practice will begin in March, and Alabama’s new head football coach Kalen DeBoer will be taking his Crimson Tide teammates out on the practice field for the first time.
There haven’t been this many unanswered questions about the football programme since the renowned Nick Saban took over in 2007 upon his retirement.
Alabama still has one of the best rosters in the nation, despite popular thought, and they ought to be in the heart of the argument for the college football playoffs.

Other than Bond hopping across to Texas, none of these exits were all that shocking. Although Burton still had one COVID season left in him, he will now play in the NFL after establishing himself as a valuable collegiate player.
It’s possible that Brooks and Preston belong in other programmes because they were positioned at the bottom of the depth chart.
Alabama has some good wide receiver talent returning in 2024, despite five departures. Jalen Hale, Kobe Prentice, and Kendrick Law all contributed plays for the Tide in 2023; they’ll probably play much bigger roles this season. Cole Adams, Jaren Hamilton, and Emmanuel Henderson all have a tonne of potential.
This offseason, Alabama added some of the top pass-catching players in the nation, led by five-star Ryan Williams. Williams, Scott and Jefferson won’t be arriving on campus until the summer, so the only newcomers taking part in spring practice will be Germie Bernard, a transfer from Washington, and Aeryn Hampton, a freshman four-star. Bernard should become well-known in Tuscaloosa right away.
The top four targets this spring should be Law, Prentice, Bernard, and Hale, but Henderson is a player to keep an eye on for the 2024 campaign. The roster of players will probably be adjusted when Ryan Williams gets to college.
Going into the 2024 season, I think the wide receivers from Alabama have a lot of potential. Now that JeMarcus Shepard is leading the team, I anticipate improvement from the squad, which has underperformed the last two seasons. Law and Prentice will offer invaluable experience and guidance to a team that will probably also be heavily dependent on new members. It will be a lot of fun to stay in touch with this bunch this spring.
