According to multiple NFL insiders, Tim Boyle will start at quarterback for the New York Jets, replacing Zach Wilson, a move that has been requested by the majority of Gang Green supporters for weeks!

The head coach Robert Saleh was clearly frustrated after Sunday’s game against the Bills, as the offense collapsed in a 32-6 loss to the division rival Buffalo Bills.

Wilson, 24, was substituted out of the game late in the third quarter as New York was falling behind significantly. With just 81 yards of passing, one touchdown, and one interception, the former #2 overall pick in the ’21 draft finished with a completion percentage of less than 47%.

This week’s starter, 29-year-old Boyle, was introduced into the game, but he didn’t perform much better, going 7-for-14 for 33 yards on numerous attempts at dink and dunk passes.

The Jets have not yet officially announced the change to the signal-caller… but listening to Wilson speak after the loss, the move is no surprise.

“I understand that change needs to be made when things aren’t getting done,” Zach said to reporters following the game.

The Jets’ short week and Friday’s game against the offensively dominant Miami Dolphins in New Jersey will only make matters worse. Boyle won’t even have a full week to prepare.

The Jets are third from bottom with 15 points per game, while the Dolphins are averaging 30.5 points per game, the highest in the NFL. In the end, the Jets will need to score, and they will be starting a player who has only made three starts (0-3) this season.
