The former Iowa State player led the 49ers to an impressive comeback victory from a 24-7 deficit to defeat the Detroit Lions. He also assisted San Francisco in winning the NFC Championship last season, a game in which he was forced to leave due to injury.
On the most recent episode of Inside the Huddle, Jeff Reinebold and Neil Reynolds of Sky Sports NFL talked about what Purdy needs to do to shut down his detractors.

“To maintain the drive, he fired to Kyle Juszczyk on the sideline, going out to his left, for a crucial first down. It would be up there with The Catch as the best play in Niners quarterback history if it had been one of the other NFL quarterbacks.
