It seems like the summer transfer window has just closed, but that simply means we’re getting closer to the January transfer window, when the crazy carousel will start again.

For Leeds United, the summer window has been a difficult time to navigate.

At times the situation looked more than bleak, but some last minute deals and good work from Daniel Farke left the Whites in a much better position than many thought possible.

After a difficult start to the Championship season, they are settling into their new surroundings and are currently firmly in play-off contention.

With the winter window just weeks away, Football FanCast has rounded up the latest transfer rumors on all the possible incoming and outgoing transfers you can expect to see at Elland Road in January. Josh Doig – Hellas Verona:

Reports from Italy (via Leeds Live) claim that Leeds have Scottish left-back Josh Doig on their January transfer radar.

Having spent just over a year away from Britain with the Italian side, Leeds are believed to have now made contact over a possible transfer for the 21-year-old, who is reportedly valued at around £5.2 million.

Doig has made 34 Serie A appearances since arriving in 2022, providing two goals and four assists in those matches (via Transfermarkt).

But the report claims it’s not just Leeds who are interested in Doig, with the likes of Monza and even Rangers keeping an eye on the left-back.

David Brooks – Bournemouth: According to talkSPORT’s Sam Matterface and Alex Crook (via MOT Leeds), the Yorkshire club are among the teams looking to sign Bournemouth winger David Brooks.

Minutes have been difficult to come by for the Wales international under Andoni Iraola on the south coast.

Although the 26-year-old has made twelve Premier League appearances, he has only played 252 minutes in those matches (via Transfermarkt).

However, a move for the winger could prove difficult for Leeds as fellow south coast club Southampton could offer him an option closer to home than a move to Yorkshire.

On talkSPORT, the presenters said: “He (Brooks) is wanted by two different Championship teams who want to return to the Premier League,” host Sam Matterface said.

“Yes, two of the best in this division, Southampton and Leeds United,” Crook said. “I’m told Leeds are planning a pretty busy January to ensure they can return to the Premier League straight away.”
