SPORTS Madubuike of Baltimore is attempting to set a record by playing in 11 consecutive games with at least one half-sack.

(AP) — OWINGS MILLS, Md. Following numerous games in which Justin Madubuike successfully sacks the quarterback, Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh surmised that his defensive tackle could be doing something exceptional.
Is a record in existence? Isn’t there supposed to be some sort of record? This week, Harbaugh questioned reporters.
Yes, Madubuike is getting closer to one. For the Ravens, he has made at least one half-sack in each of the last ten games. He can tie the league record this Sunday night at Jacksonville, as it stands at 11.
“That’s okay,” Harbaugh responded. “I’m in favor of breaking the record as well as tying it.Only once in his run has Madubuike recorded multiple sacks, which occurred on October 15 against Tennessee, but his consistent output could go down in history. Players like Jared Allen, Chris Jones, Trey Hendrickson, and Shaun Ellis have had a half-sack in 11 straight games. It’s not an awful group to hang out with.
Jones is evidence that an interior lineman is capable of producing highsack totals. In contrast to Madubuike, who has occasionally prolonged his run with half-sacks, his streak began in 2018 and spanned 11 games with at least one sack. When he’s playing, the Baltimore standout said it’s simple to forget about the streak.
“It’s just something that some of my teammates may mention on the sidelines,” Madubuike stated. “However, it’s
