Four-star small forward Jahki Howard’s announcement that he would be committing to Auburn University made an already fantastic day for Auburn basketball even better.

Bruce Pearl’s program was selected by Howard above those of Arkansas, Arizona State, and Georgia Tech.

According to 247Sports and On3, the six-foot-six, 175-pound small forward is ranked 85th and 117th in the class, respectively.

In the 2024 class, ESPN has him ranked highest, at 59th.It’s great to hear that Tahaad Pettiford, the Tigers’ other 2024 commit, was signing his NLI prior to Howard committing to Auburn.

Pettiford was rumored to be considering his options, including going pro, but he has committed to Auburn Tigers by signing his NLI.

Regarding Howard’s skills on the court, he is a long wing with a gorgeous jump shot that he can execute right out of the gym.
Even though he doesn’t always make the shot, he has a lot of promise because the form is there.

Howard’s ranking should be higher, according to many in the college basketball recruiting scene, and it makes sense when you watch the footage.

This 2024 class is going to be something exceptional, and the Auburn Tigers are positioned for long-term success with Howard and Pettiford committed to the school.
