While there is a lot of attention on the offensive side of the ball, the Bengals’ defense had some serious difficulties in 2023. Therefore, it could be more beneficial to add a few crucial players to the defense. I was intrigued by the following prospects at the Senior Bowl:

Michael Hall Jr., the defensive tackle for Ohio State, has become my little draft infatuation. His hands as a pass rusher are excellent, and he is extremely explosive out of his stance. In addition, he is a strong run defender who can seriously hinder offenses.

In passing scenarios, he can create a lot of pressure and blow offensive linemen off the ball. Hall is a promising second-day pick who might help the Bengals right away.

I’m curious to see what Edge, Alabama’s Chris Braswell can do to improve the Bengals defensive line. Although I am aware that not many people would be thrilled with an edge selection in this draft, he possesses the power profile to make a big impact.

He may be useful not only as a run stopper but also as an edge player and pass rusher. Braswell can push offensive linemen into the pocket and play with excellent leverage.

But he’s more than just a power rusher. He’s demonstrated some impressive moments of detachment when working on the edge. He seems like another defensive lineman who might be selected on the second round of the draft and make an immediate impact on the Bengals’ defense.
