The claim is that Janarius Robinson, a defensive end with the Las Vegas Raiders who was arrested on Tuesday for suspected DUI, struck a woman with his car.
David Charns of 8 News Now reports that police reported they were summoned to the Aria Resort & Casino early on Tuesday morning after receiving a report of a woman who had been hit and then “became pinned between two cars.” Additionally, according to the police, the woman departed the valet area before they arrived, and there was no record of her injuries.
Robinson, the driver of the car, was recognised because he smelled like alcohol and looked drunk. “His speech was mumbled and his body was slightly swaying side to side,” according to the officers’ report.
Robinson informed officers that he had two drinks beginning at 10 p.m. and stopped drinking at 11 p.m., about seven hours before the collision that happened at 5:45 a.m., according to the report. He added that he was headed to the Vdara, which is next to the Aria, and that he wasn’t under the influence of any other drugs.
Robinson was placed under arrest for a misdemeanour, but the judge later granted him his freedom. According to court documents, Charns is scheduled to return to court on June 4 for a status check.
In six Raiders games in 2023, the 24-year-old recorded eight total tackles, one sack, and two quarterback hits. His contract is set to expire in one year, and he will earn a base salary of $985,000 in 2024.
