After giving Jackson the MVP, teammates Kyle Van Noy and Kyle Hamilton spoke with Fox News Digital. Hamilton stated as follows: “He deserves it. We become somewhat indifferent to it as we witness it on a daily basis—even when he is playing video games. He’ll pull off a wild play, and we’ll be like, “Hey, that’s Lamar.” However, from the outside looking in, he is unique. Playing with him and being able to observe him up close and personal is a blessing. I’m glad for him and think it’s fantastic.” It seems like every teammate of Jackson’s in the Ravens organisation feels the same way.
Van Noy also made the choice to emphasise Jackson’s virtues as a person, stating: “He’s the MVP both on and off the field. He performs all tasks correctly. He is a fantastic teammate. He gives everyone a sense of belonging. He avoids making it about himself. I always appreciate that he puts the team first. And everyone wants to bemoan his play and his stats. However, because he played so well in a short period of time, you won’t have absurd stats when you watch the games and you’re blowing people out. “Oh, that’s the MVP right there,” I thought. These days, I believe a lot of people are lost in statistics and analytics. However, if you watch the tape, Lamar is evidently the MVP.
