During Monday’s Rose Bowl overtime loss to Michigan, Alabama’s centre Seth McLaughlin came under fire for his snapping skills.
Multiple reports state that McLaughin entered the transfer portal and will probably be playing at a new school in 2024. After he began to play later in the 2021 season, he went on to start eight games in 2022 and all of the games in 2023 until the Michigan loss.

Prior to the season beginning, McLaughlin was also included on the watch list for the Rimington Trophy. The best centre in the country receives this trophy at the conclusion of the season.
At least ten Alabama players have already accessed the portal, including him.
