The Miami football team’s December Pinstripe Bowl defeat to Rutgers resulted in the departure of several starters. The depth charts Miami used against Boston College in the regular season finale and New York against Rutgers were significantly different. In the 2024 season opening, several starters against Rutgers will be swapped out on the depth chart.
From the regular season finale victory over Boston College to the Pinstripe Bowl defeat at the hands of Rutgers, Miami started three different players on defense and four new players on offense. Wide receiver Isaiah Horton, quarterback Jacurri Brown, and offensive lineman Luis Cristobal and Ryan Rodriguez were the new offensive starters for the Pinstripe Bowl.
In 2024, Miami will need to improve its offensive line depth. Cristobal started in place of Javion Cohen, who chose to sit out the game. Matt Lee chose not to play center, thus Rodriguez took his place. Brown began when Tyler Van Dyke accessed the transfer portal, and Horton began when Colbie Young did.
