Kate Garraway has shared a health update on her dad Gordon Garraway.
The Good Morning Britain presenter has been absent from the show for nearly a fortnight after it was reported that her father had suddenly been taken ill.
In an Instagram post shared today (July 31), Kate explained what had happened to her dad and provided an update on his health journey, revealing that the family “are taking it a day at a time”.\
“Hi all – sorry I disappeared from here when my Dad collapsed & rushed to hospital 2 weeks ago while having a holiday with my Mum at my brothers,” her statement begins, posted alongside a photo of her with her dad.
“It was very scary but am so pleased that he is now stable & even recovering a bit in hospital – we have so much to be grateful for, but are taking it a day at a time.”
The ITV star thanked “the incredible nhs staff for their endless kindness” and continued care towards her father. She additionally thanked her friends and work colleagues for their support, mentioning by name her GMB co-stars Ranvir Singh and Charlotte Hawkins, plus Smooth FM presenter Myleene Klass.
