Premier Soccer League side Kaizer Chiefs are done with their three-week pre-season camp in Turkey.

The Glamour Boys had time away from the fans in their bid to rebuild ahead of the 2024/25 season under coach Nasreddine Nabi who took over a couple of weeks ago from Molefi Ntseki. The team played a few friendly matches, with the latest being against Al Shahaniya SC and club Dibba Al-Hisn respectively.

Amakhosi finished 10th in the concluded season, which was their worst ever, and the management had to bring in a new technical bench.

Chiefs’ Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. is delighted that the team took a bold step to camp in Europe, but as explained, it was not easy.

“We are satisfied with how our preparations have gone so far; it has not been easy, but the boys showed their tenacity and mental strength,” he told the media.

“Being away from family and friends in a foreign country is never easy, but we came together as a team and did it.

“The team and the coaches will continue to work on the new season’s preparations because we need to ensure that we are ready to compete when the season starts. We know it’s not going to be easy, and it will take a bit of time, but we do know that supporters will journey with us as we try and get back on track.”
