Noah Lyles’ girlfriend Junelle Bromfield has opened up about having to endure survivors guilt in the past few years to bouncing back to winning ways and securing an Olympic slot to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Bromfield explained that in the past few years, she suffered losses in her family and lost passion for the track but her boyfriend, Lyles, recommended therapy, which has worked well for both of them.

Speaking to the Inside Lane, the Olympic Games silver medallist disclosed that the challenges had taken a toll on her but she has since bounced back to loving the track and racing more often.

The 26-year-old then completed the podium in the final of the race as she clocked 51.24 to punch her ticket to Paris.

Zablon Ekwam is keenly following in the footsteps of South African sprinter and 400m world record holder Wayde van Niekerk.

After more than three years of seeking an Olympics ticket, the Kenyan will be heading to Paris with bigger ambitions.

Ekwam is looking at the next four years and has a plan of what he wants to achieve, just like his mentor, the 2016 Rio Olympics 400m champion Niekerk.

The 26-year-old became interested in athletics after watching the South African break the world record at the Rio Olympic Games. After watching how the stadium marveled at the South Africa’s exploits, Ekwam knew that was where he belonged and he worked hard to get to that level.

He might not be there yet but his consistency and hard work prove that he is headed in the right direction. He started by running 53 seconds in the 400m, and now qualifying for the Olympic Games, he had to clock 44.69.
