Nasreddine Nabi has officially taken over the helm at Kaizer Chiefs after joining his new team in Turkey. Now, it is time for business.
To date, Chiefs are yet to confirm any new signings.
However, the arrival of Nabi means one thing – Amakhosi are about to get busy this transfer window. If you ask me, it’s about time. Interestingly, his first signing is likely to be an ex-Pirates player.
Chiefs are closing in on the signature of ex-Pirates player, Bongani Sam.
“Orlando Pirates are understood to have given defender Bongani Sam the greenlight to discuss personal terms with Kaizer Chiefs. SABC Sport can reveal the two parties have reached an unprecedented agreement that would see a player move between the two Soweto giants should he pass a medical and have the finer details ironed out,” the report read on SABCSport.
Meaning, he stands in line to become Chiefs first signing under Nabi.
Ironically, he arrived before Nabi. However, Nabi will make the final decision on whether to sign Sam or not. As things stand, he looks set to be confirmed as Chiefs latest addition.
