Kaizer Chiefs have finally confirmed the appointment of Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi.

Amakhosi let out one of the worst kept secrets in South African football when they announced the arrival of the experienced tactician who linked up with the team in Turkey for pre-season.

“We are delighted to welcome coach Nasreddine Nabi to the Kaizer Chiefs family. We are happy to have you with us, coach,” Chiefs said of their new appointment.

Nabi arrives just days after ditching Moroccan club FAR Rabat, who he managed for one year, and came close to winning the league and Throne Cup, both of which he eventually lost to Raja Casablanca.

The former Yanga coach has now been tasked with restoring the Glamour Boys at the top of South African football after falling off in recent years.

Amakhosi recorded their worst finish in the PSL when they limped to 10th last season under the stewardship of Calvin Johnson and began a search for a new coach immediately after.
