Breaking News! Chiefs and Cavin Johnson part ways We wish to thank Mr Johnson for his contribution to Kaizer Chiefs and wish him well in the future.

Kaizer Chiefs axe has landed on former Amakhosi interim coach Cavin Johnson, the Soweto giants have confirmed.

The 65-year-old ex-Al Ahly assistant coach failed to convince the management that he could be considered for the coaching role after his struggles to steer the team forward following Molefi Ntseki’s firing.

In the 2023/24 season, Chiefs recorded the worst finish in the Premier Soccer League after finishing 10th.

Chiefs are in the process of confirming a new face technical team that will be headed by Nasreddine Nabi.

“Kaizer Chiefs have agreed to an amicable parting of ways with head of Academy, Cavin Johnson,” the Glamour Boys confirmed.

“Johnson joined Kaizer Chiefs in September 2023 to take up his role at the Club. The departure is part of the restructuring process that the Club is undertaking.

“We wish to thank Mr Johnson for his contribution to Kaizer Chiefs and wish him well in the future.”
