Anticipation is growing for this year’s Tour de France, with the battle for the yellow jersey likely to be one of the most compelling in years. Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogacar are expected to resume their battle, but what of fellow contenders Primoz Roglic and Remco Evenepoel? And all that is without mentioning Mark Cavendish’s attempt to overhaul Eddy Merckx…

The Tour de France is nearly upon us, with Grand Depart for the 2024 edition set to take place in Florence on June 29.
It promises to be a race for the ages, with history on the line.
Can Mark Cavendish net the single stage win he needs to overtake Eddy Merckx and hold the record for the most ever Tour stage wins?
Will Tadej Pogacar triumph at the Tour for the first time since 2021 to land the first Giro d’Italia-Tour de France double since Marco Pantani in 1998?
Or can Jonas Vingegaard recover from injury to emulate the likes of Chris Froome and Miguel Indurain and win three straight yellow jerseys?
It’s not long until we find out, with every moment live on Eurosport and discovery+.
Pogacar and Vingegaard are confirmed on their respective teams’ rosters, with the likes of Remco Evenepoel, Primoz Roglic and Britain’s Tom Pidcock all set to compete for the coveted GC crown.
There is, however, no place for four-time winner Froome in the Israel-Premier Tech line-up.
Bahrain Victorious have confirmed Santiago Buitrago will be their GC leader, with GB’s Fred Wright named in the team.
For now, here are all the confirmed riders for the 111th edition of the famous race.
