The Jamaican track star will line up at the JAAA/Puma Fuller/Anderson Development indoor Meet at GC Foster College in Spanish Town, headlining a women’s 60m field that will also include her training teammates from the MVP, two-time World U20 100m champion in Tina Clayton, and her twin sister Tia.
The 2022 and 2023 World 400m bronze medallist Sada Williams, from Barbados, another of her MVP clubmates, will also compete in the meet just outside the Jamaican capital, Kingston.
Saturday’s meet marks the start of Jackson’s buildup towards the Paris 2024 Olympics later this year.
At her debut Olympics, Rio 2016, she won two medals (bronze in the 400m and a silver in the 4x400m relay), and clinched three at Tokyo 2020 (100m bronze, gold in the 4x100m and another bronze in the 4×400m).
Jackson recently revealed how her childhood struggles had resulted in her being ‘very aggressive’ both on and off the track.
