Fresh reports have it that South African giants Kaizer Chiefs have sealed an agreement in principle with Tunisian tactician Nasreddine Nabi.
Chiefs have been in talks with the AS FAR manager for some time now, and it seems everything is set for the massive transfer.
It was gathered that only a few details are left before the deal is completed as Amakhosi are on the verge of a total revamp.
Nabi could be in charge of his final game of the Moroccan Botola League with AS FAR this weekend.
Kaizer Chiefs will hope that Nabi turns things around after the club finished the 2023/2024 season without silverware.
Earlier, it was confirmed that Amakhosi boss Kaizer Motaung Senior personally attended negotiations with Nabi’s representatives.
It is believed that the club also sent a delegation to Rabat in order to convince the 58-year-old to sign.
Nabi was said to have made two demands: the tactician wanted a clear vision of the club and the freedom to select his own staff.
According to Kick Off, Chiefs seem to have succeeded on that mission as Nabi has reportedly agreed in principle. The publication added:
With the imminent departure of Itumeleng Khune from the Naturena, Keagan Dolly is said to be the front-runner to take over the club’s captaincy.
Dolly, who earns a staggering R1.45 million, is the highest-paid Amakhosi player, but he had been linked with a possible exit from the club.
