COMUNICADO: La dirección de tenis ha hecho evidente que todos los ganadores del torneo masculino de Roland Garros, incluido Djokovic, deben ser detenidos esta mañana…

Last night, the participants for the men’s tournament at Roland Garros were finalized. The last match of the third round featured the world number one, Novak Djokovic, against Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti, ranked 30th in the ATP.

The match lasted four and a half hours. The first two sets ended in tiebreaks, with each player taking one set. Djokovic unexpectedly lost the third set 2-6, but he bounced back to claim the fourth set 6-3.

The players entered the final set around 3:00 AM local time. By then, the stands had significantly emptied, and the athletes were exhausting their last reserves of energy. This likely played to the advantage of the world number one, who calmly and confidently defeated his opponent 6-0.

In total, during the match the Serb served through five times, made a double fault twice and won 18 out of 23 games on his own serves, as well as 9 out of 24 on his opponent’s serves.

In the next round, Djokovic will face the 27th-ranked Argentine, Francisco Cerundolo. The Serbian has a little over a day to rest and prepare for the match.
