TBR claims that Manchester City might give up on Lucas Paqueta if his betting decision is not made quickly enough. Out of the Lucas Paqueta race, Manchester City?
After losing the race for Declan Rice last summer, Manchester City went straight after Lucas Paqueta to cover their midfield void. The Football Association opened a betting case involving the 26-year-old Brazilian international,

Manchester City has once again been linked to Paqueta ahead of the summer, so the situation could repeat itself. The 26-year-old is liked by Guardiola and seems like a good fit for their plans, but the club has told the Brazilian’s representatives that they won’t pursue a deal until the FA clears him of the betting case.

Paqueta is prepared to depart from the Hammers in the summer and was tipped to pursue a transfer to Manchester City. The report does, however, state Guardiola’s side’s wishes and asserts that, should the FA continue to postpone a decision in the betting case, the agents of the 26-year-old Brazilian international may even file a lawsuit against the governing body to recover lost wages.
