A Florida man named Josh Allen was arrested Sunday for hit-and-run and drunk driving.

“Not the Josh Allen who threw for 359 yards and two touchdowns for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday,” the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook.

“He was Josh Allen, 20, who works as a security guard at a bar in north Lakeland.”Officers responded to reports of a crash involving a gray 2016 Kia sedan in Lakeland around 3:21 a.m.

The vehicle was registered to Allen, who fled the scene on foot.A witness told police that Allen was wearing a T-shirt that read “SECURITY.

”Officers heard Allen moving through the “swampy” woods “due to Allen’s size.” Allen is approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 370 pounds.

They also saw the light from Allen’s cell phone, which he used to navigate the woods and call a friend.

“Basically, officers were able to track him down pretty easily,” the sheriff’s office said. Authorities found Allen trying to hide.

He was partially submerged in water and only his stomach and mouth were visible.“Allen’s eyes were dilated, bloodshot and watery,” the sheriff’s office said.

“That’s right, he had just come out of the swamp, so his whole body was wet, but his breath also smelled of alcohol.

“Officers took two breath samples from Allen. Both were above the legal limit. He was arrested for hit-and-run, driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.
