When Hermann edge rusher Daeden Hopkins committed to Missouri on Tuesday evening that made seven commits for Mizzou’s 2025 recruiting class in the month of April. When the calendar turned to May on Wednesday, Mizzou just kept rolling. The Tigers got two more players out of the transfer portal who will be eligible for the 2024 season in Michigan linebacker Jeremiah Beasley and Georgia Tech defensive lineman Eddie Kelly.
Hopkins is a four star prospect from Hermann. He committed to Missouri on Tuesday evening after a break-out junior season. In 2023 Hopkins had 67 tackles and 9 sacks for the Bearcats.
Beasley comes to Mizzou after a brief stay in Ann Arbor. Recruited by Missouri and many other schools out of high school, the Belleville, Mich. native enrolled early at Michigan and went through spring camp with the Wolverines.
He registered one pass break-up in limited action during the Maize & Blue Spring Game and entered the transfer portal. Beasley was a four star prospect and top 30 linebacker nationally coming out of high school. He starred as a senior at Belleville High School with 120 tackles and 5 sacks.
Kelly comes to Mizzou after playing two seasons of college football: one at South Florida and one at Georgia Tech. As a sophomore for the Yellow Jackets in 2023, Kelly had 5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He played in 26 games over two years with both programs.
