The claims suggest that Taylor received a substantial financial penalty and a permanent ban from officiating UEFA competitions.

However, as of the time of writing, no official statement from UEFA has confirmed these reports. Neither UEFA nor its president has publicly announced any disciplinary action against the experienced English referee.

The controversy stems from several disputed decisions made during the match, which sparked intense debate among supporters, pundits, and football analysts. Fans from both clubs took to social media to express their views, with some arguing that key officiating decisions significantly influenced the outcome of the game.

Anthony Taylor, one of England’s most recognizable referees, has officiated numerous high-profile domestic and international fixtures throughout his career. While referees are routinely assessed by governing bodies after matches, permanent bans are extremely rare and would typically require a formal investigation and disciplinary process.

UEFA maintains strict procedures for reviewing officiating performances, including the examination of video footage, referee reports, and assessments from match observers. Any disciplinary measures are usually communicated through official channels following a thorough review.

<div style="font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0;
